Peterson intrigued by speed in LSU-TCU game

ESPN college baseball analyst Kyle Peterson previewed the 2015 CWS with Ben Love. The athleticism and "speed-on-speed matchup" grabs his attention most when it comes to Tigers versus Horned Frogs.

The 2015 College World Series is close at hand, so TSD went to one of the most knowledgeable sources around on college basketball to break down the eight-team bracket.

Publisher Ben Love chatted with ESPN analyst Kyle Peterson Thursday on "Bumper to Bumper Sports" on 103.7 FM (KLWB) in Lafayette, and Peterson shared his thoughts on Sunday afternoon's game between TCU and LSU.

"The athleticism, really. I think it's one of those (games) to where TCU runs a bunch and LSU runs a bunch," Peterson said of what intrigues him most in the matchup. "I think that pace lends to a game that should be pretty enjoyable to watch. Now you've got to get on first base before you can run obviously, but I think that piece of it makes it very interesting.

"I like the speed-on-speed matchup. How risky are both sides because they've both been very aggressive over the course of the year? You would expect that even though the situation is a lot bigger beacuse it's in Omaha, that both sides are going to try and push the tempo pretty good."

Peterson expounded on a number of topics during the interview, including potentially higher scoring games in TD Ameritrade Park, the SEC in Omaha and which coaches nationwide did the best job in 2015.
