LSU target decommits from Texas A&M

5-star offensive tackle Greg Little dropped his pledge to the Aggies.

Five-star offensive tackle Greg Little, a major LSU target, decommitted Monday from Texas A&M, first reported by Bleacher Report.

The news doesn't come as a significant surprise. Little has said for a while that he was still considering all of his options. As recently as last week at The Opening, he told Scout's Greg Powers that he would announce his final decision on his birthday Nov. 4.

"I need to figure out what's the best fit," Little said in a video interview from The Opening. "A&M is a great fit for me right now, but I'm still looking around at other schools, figuring my options out."

Little was already considered one of the top recruits in the country when he committed to Texas A&M more than a year ago. Little now feels he rushed that decision and wants to explore what else is out there.

He's mentioned LSU among the schools he's interested in, with Alabama, Ole Miss and Ohio State also high on his list. LSU hopes now that Little has officially reopened his recruitment that it gets a chance to show him what the Tigers have to offer.

Look for LSU to press for an official visit this fall.

Little had this to say last week when asked what it will take for a school to land him once and for all.

"It's just how I feel, if i feel good, if I'm comfortable," Little said. "I won't get homesick no matter where I am, in-state or out-of-state, so it's just how i feel, who'll take care of me."
