WBRZ first reported an unnamed player had been transported to the hospital, tweeting a picture of the player being loaded into the emergency vehicle. The Advocate later confirmed that Guice was the player hospitalized.
LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette has only confirmed that a player was taken to the hospital, but has not revealed the identity or reason.
Guice did suffer a period of unconsciousness, according to the Advocate. He was not working out at the time and had felt sick earlier in the day.
Guice did tweet Wednesday night.

Guice was a four-star prospect in the 2015 class coming out of Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic. He was expected to receive carries this season as part of the stable behind Leonard Fournette.
