LSU draws Marquette in Brooklyn

LSU basketball draws Marquette in semifinals of Progressive Legends Classic Thanksgiving week.

When the Tigers head to Brooklyn Thanksgiving week for the Progressive Legends Classic, they'll take on Marquette in one semifinal game on Monday, Nov. 23, ESPN announced on Thursday.

LSU and Marquette will tip off at 6 p.m. Central Time, and the winner will advance to the championship games, contested Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m., to face the winner of NC State and Arizona State.

A season ago the Golden Eagles went 13-19, 4-14 in the Big East, in the first season under head coach Steve Wojciechowski.

Marquette is expected to be improved in 2015-16, adding high-profile recruit Henry Ellenson to the mix. Ellenson (6-10, 245) is from Rice Lake, Wis., and has already starred as a member of the USA U17 team.

The game between the Bayou Bengals and Golden Eagles will be televised on ESPN2.

During the Tigers' stay in Brooklyn, the team will be without transfer forward Craig Victor. In the video below TSD explores how LSU will compensate for the loss of Victor inside leading up to mid December.
