2018 Update: Josh Leblanc

Madison Prep sophomore Josh Leblanc turned heads this summer on the Under Armour circuit. TSD caught up with one of Louisiana's best up-and-coming post players.

Even at such a young age Joshua LeBlanc ("Josh") is building quite a reputation as a performer in the paint, both inside Louisiana and across the country.

The rising sophomore at Madison Prep (Baton Rouge) helped fuel one of the nation's top 15U teams all summer in the Under Armour Association.

During 11 games with Louisiana Elite, Leblanc (6-6, 190) posted averages of 11.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 steals while shooting an eye-popping 72.9 percent from the field.

He's already hearing from Arizona, Arizona State, Richmond, Tulane and USC, and Leblanc has collected an offer from Louisiana-Lafayette.

Leblanc is developing a consistent mid-range game, but as his shooting percentage this summer indicates, he's highly effective close to the basket. He's also a stellar defender for his age, a natural shot-blocker with active hands in passing lanes to create turnovers.

His role is expected to increase in the frontcourt this coming season for head coach Jeff Jones and Madison Prep, which is gunning for its third state title in four seasons. The Chargers are moving up to Class 2A for 2016.
