An Open Apology to Star LSU Freshman Antonio Blakeney

TSD's Ben Love has re-evaluated his stance on how quickly LSU basketball guard Antonio Blakeney picks up scoring in bunches playing off the ball.

Two weeks ago, right before the LSU basketball season tipped off, I wondered aloud if it wouldn't take stud freshman Antonio Blakeney some time to adjust to playing and scoring off the ball. Continuing that thought, I suggested fellow frosh Brandon Sampson might have a higher floor for the first portion of the season, offering a dead-eye shooter more accustomed to playing in the halfcourt without being the primary ball-handler.

I was wrong.

Blakeney is giving the Tigers a much-needed scoring punch from day one, and as such, I recorded the above video documenting my adjusted thoughts, which in no way diminishes what Sampson, already a starter as well, is accomplishing in his early days with the Bayou Bengals.
