Carolina RB has lofty goals

One of the top prospects in North Carolina is Andre Brown.

The 6-foot-2, 211-pound running back runs a 4.5-forty and combines speed and power to run all over defenders.

"I've got 15 or 16 offers," Brown told Tiger Rag. "Some that have offered that I'm really looking at is Nebraska, N.C. State, (North)Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech."

Another school Brown is keeping a close eye on is LSU even though LSU coach Nick Saban has not come through with a scholarship offer.

"They haven't offered yet," said Brown. They just send me a lot of stuff. I get letters from them every day, either hand-written or computer stuff. I like the tradition down there. It's a good college. I like the prestige of the program."

Brown has plenty of offers to choose from and he knows exactly what the deciding factor will be in where he chooses to go.

"I want the coaches to be a good group of guys," he said. "I want to like the area and my teammates. I want my teammates to be focused so we can get a national title."

After eclipsing the 2,000 yard mark as a junior, Brown has set some lofty goals heading into his senior year.

"I want to get 3,000 yards," he said. "Team-wise, I want to get a state championship. I also want to make the All-America team and play in the All-America game."
