Senior linebacker Corey Thompson suffered a leg injury in practice on Wednesday according to multiple reports.
A LSU spokesperson could confirm the reports.
Thompson, who was also injured in the beginning of fall camp last season, was a projected starter in LSU's new 3-4 defense and had moved from safety to outside linebacker.
The 6-foot-2, 222-pound, linebacker had put on a few pounds for his new position. Thompson is the third member of LSU's front seven to be injured within the past few days. However he isn't expected to be out for the season like Christian LaCouture and Isiah Washington, but is expected to miss the start of the season according to a report from The Advocate.
