LSU had another star-studded group on campus to take in the Tigers' late night win over Ole Miss on Saturday. The Tigers used 17 unanswered points to cruise to a 38-21 win over SEC rival Ole Miss. With that, LSU moved to 3-0 under Ed Orgeron and continue to control their own destiny in the SEC West (barring Auburn winning out).
For many, it was another sign that LSU is moving in the right direction under Orgeron, who has brought a breathe of fresh air to the offense with offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger at the helm and Dave Aranda's defense continues to be one of the best in the nation.
LSU offensive line commit Saahdiq Charles was on hand and enjoyed the experience at Tiger Stadium. Ole Miss, Florida and others are hot on the trail working on him lately.
"Huge win. It was awesome to experience that in Death Valley. I have a feeling the rest of this season will be something special," Charles told Tiger Blitz.
Plaquemine safety Todd Harris was on hand yet again for another LSU game and said the Tiger Stadium crowd was the best he's heard.
"It was a total team effort. Everybody played their role. Great atmosphere, nice cool weather and yes, it was the loudest I heard it get all season," the 4-star safety said.
Harris' best friend and current LSU commit Patrick Queen also came away impressed. Both are being courted by the Rebels.
"That was just about the best game I've ever watched in Death Valley, I loved it."
LSU's quarterback commit Myles Brennan was also back again for more time at LSU, where he was blown away. The newly minted 4-star quarterback will return, like many commits on November 5 against Alabama.
"Wow. Such an indescribable experience, that win was huge and I can really see the players fighting together as a team which is huge! They fought until the last second and the win was well deserved, I can't wait to be back!"http://www.scout.com/college/lsu/story/1719731-new-tiger-blitz-members-r...
LSU offensive line commit Edward Ingram wasn't at Tiger Stadium, but liked what he saw as well.
"It think LSU has been putting on a show letting everybody know that LSU is still here and is not going anywhere!!!"
LSU had a major commitment on campus in 4-star wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon, who liked what the offense did.
"I loved it. The offense was really fun to watch," Ausbon said.
2019 4-star Amite wide receiver Devonta Lee visited with his 2019 teammate and fellow 4-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher and 2017 5-star wide receiver Devonta Smith. Lee was impressed with LSU, which recently offered the nearby receiver.
"I mean it was a big game. I love the atmosphere of LSU. I liked how they played as team and came out with the right mindset and focus," Lee said. "Now they have to look on to next weekend ahead of them."
Update: LSU linebacker target Chris Allen was also on hand for the game and has made note that he's watching how LSU plays as a team. Well, Dave Aranda impressed yet another crucial target for the 2017 class.
"I thought LSU played a great game. The defense holding Ole Miss to 21 points was amazing when Ole Miss been scoring 35-40+ points all season," Allen told Tiger Blitz.
Here's a quick look at some of what other LSU targets and commits said about the game:
2017 LSU DB commit Jontre Kirkin: "They played great!! Played as a TEAM!!"
