LSU running back Leonard Fournette burst back onto the scene in his return to the field for LSU by breaking LSU's single-game rushing record with 284 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers' 38-21 win over Ole Miss.
After missing three games this season and LSU dropping to 2-2 before firing coach Les Miles after the Tigers loss to Auburn, many thought Fournette might be a Heisman afterthought.
The big man from New Orleans might have other plans after his record-setting performance.
On Tuesday, LSU Football released a video with the title, "Hold onto your Heisman ballots," which is what ESPN broadcaster Brent Musburger said during Saturday night's broadcast of the Tigers' win over the Rebels.
The video features shots of Fournette's touchdown runs and his punishing run as the junior ran over Ole Miss safety Deontay Anderson with commentary from Musburger.
Is it LSU's push for Fournette to get back into the Heisman conversation? It's a good start.
