Under Armour All-American and LSU quarterback commit Myles Brennan made the trip over to Baton Rouge and was joined by his whole family, which included his brothers, who had never been to Baton Rouge before. Brennan said it was a weekend he'll never forget.
"It was awesome. From the minute we got there, just to be together with the family was an experience in itself," Brennan said. "It was great to go out with Danny and Foster and get a feel for the nightlife in Baton Rouge and things like that, it was just an awesome weekend. My mom told me she knows why I fell in love with this place. Something I'll remember for the rest of my life."
The four-star quarterback was hosted by quarterback Danny Etling and basically, Etling's roommate and tight end Foster Moreau. The trio had a great time during the weekend and even joked about what could have been a great group of roommates as Moreau and Etling had an extra room open.
"We had a great time with whatever we were doing. I had some questions while looking for different perspective from a player rather than a coach. Just got a feel for different things. We were laughing a lot," Brennan said. "Foster said he wished I could have enrolled early because we could have been roommates."
With offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Saturday, Brennan and LSU's new playcaller went over the formations of the offense, but didn't get too in-depth because the former Pittsburgh offensive coordinator said the different concepts are what make up his 3,900-play playbook and he wants more time to work with Brennan on that.

He said there's about 3,900 plays that he has. It's not the concepts. It's just the different variations to run each play," Brennan said. "If you watch his offense, it's a bunch of motions and shifts and things like that. Learned the formations and watched some tape on that. It was pretty neat. He hasn't even shown that to Danny and the guys yet."
On Sunday, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron met with the Brennan family, who was the first group to meet with the Tigers' new head coach. Orgeron went over details of Brennan's signing with LSU and that the staff will be over again this week to see him.
"He was excited. We kind of just went over all the steps. They'll come over this week and give me my letter of intent and how to do it," Brennan said. "I'll sign and fax it over to him. We went over academics and I'm eligible. Him and Miss Kelly (Orgeron) and my parents are identical. This whole weekend we just came together and the big thing he stressed is one team, one heartbeat. It's a great feeling we have with them and LSU."
Scout's No. 16 overall quarterback has been taking some time to recruit for the Tigers as well as of late.
"I've hit up Nico Collins, the wide receiver from Alabama, he's a big target we're trying to get. Obviously, Devonta Smith, but he's quiet. He's just like a couple word answers. Tough to get your point across," Brennan said. "Willie Gay was there, which was cool. I've been with him a bunch. He told me last night his top two are LSU and Michigan. I feel pretty strong about Willie. He's always joked with me that he was going to come with me and be a Tiger." http://www.scout.com/college/lsu/story/1741399-when-did-brennan-know-can...
The 6-4, 185-pound quarterback said his National Signing Day plans include a ceremony at his high school. That night, Brennan and his family will have a little party to celebrate.
"Our school does a little ceremony and there's a handful of us. It's good for the school and good for this class. I've got a few buddies that are getting the chance to play more football," Brennan said. "It's huge since we only have 300 kids. We'll have a little party and then we'll go from there.
"I'm excited to sign and start learning the full thing. I'll get the playbook and start learning the installations. I'll also get my weight program," Brennan said. "The recruiting process has been a lot smoother not that I'm committed. I'm glad all the stress is over."
Brennnan is the No. 1 quarterback in Mississippi, No. 6 ranked quarterback in the South and the No. 267 overall player in the 2017 class by Scout. The St. Stanislaus star (Miss.) will sign with LSU on February 1 and is solid to the Tigers.
