LSU landed its 10th commitment of the 2018 recruiting cycle Saturday evening as Pontotoc (Miss.) High School offensive lineman Cole Smith committed to the Tigers. Smith is the ninth high school pledge for the Tigers' 2018 class.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Smith is a two-way standout for Pontotoc High, where he plays left tackle and defensive end. According to TigerBlitz.com, Smith is expected to be a center for the Tigers. Smith committed to LSU during an unofficial visit in Baton Rouge.
The past several weeks have seen Smith land almost double-digit offers. He chose the Tigers over programs such as Oregon, Arkansas State, Marshall, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, and ULL.
Smith is the seventh commitment for LSU in the past month. The Tigers got a hand full of pledges around the same time as the Boys From The Boot event, and they host a big junior day next weekend.
