2018 American Heritage trio of elite prospects set LSU visit

LSU is after a trio of elite prospects from American Heritage (Fla.) and while they won't be in attendance for LSU's Junior Day on Saturday, they've set their visit to Baton Rouge.

As we've reported on Scout for the last couple weeks, 2018 prospects Patrick SurtainAndrew Chatfield and Tyson Campbell won't be in attendance for LSU's Junior Day on Saturday, but will be making the trip to Baton Rouge on March 25.

Surtain, who is Scout's No. 3 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the 2018 class, will be joined by Scout 100 teammate in Campbell and fast-rising three-star Chatfield. All three of the Florida prospects have LSU firmly in the mix for their commitments.http://www.scout.com/college/lsu/story/1763294-lsu-national-junior-day-l...

Surtain has schools like Florida Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson and others hot on the trail for the five-star's signature.

Chatfield, who's already headed to The Opening Finals in Oregon, told Scout that he's looking to see how much LSU feels like home on the visit. The three-star has Wisconsin, Oregon Notre Dame and LSU working to land him the hardest.

Campbell is also headed to The Opening Finals. The 6-2 cornerback is  Scout's No. 70 overall prospect and No. 10 cornerback. Ohio State, Clemson and Miami are three schools pushing hard for his signature.

Landing this trio would undoubtedly be a huge boost to LSU's currently ranked No. 5 class for 2018, which holds 11 commitments.
