Hahnville's Reynaud wants early shot

The success of LSU freshmen receivers Dwayne Bowe and Craig Davis has left both Tiger coaches and fans clamoring for another influx of explosive young wideouts.

One of the top pass-catchers in Louisiana is undoubtedly Hahnville's Darius Reynaud (5-11, 185).

The 12-0 Tigers prepare to face Barbe (and recent LSU commitment Ryan Miller) this weekend in the state 5A playoffs. Reynaud has bounced back and forth between running back and receiver, but with 4.38 forty speed projects as a wideout at the next level.

"Right now I'm wide open," says Reynaud. "But my favorites are LSU, Michigan State, Colorado, and Indiana."

"I'm looking for a school with a good student body, a good program that wins and a place where I can play early," he says.

Tiger fans have definitely been happy with the last Hahnville product LSU picked up, current starting safety LaRon Landry. Reynaud says Landry is one of his best friends.

"It definitely boosts (LSU) a lot to see him play as a freshman," says Reynaud. "We're close friends and he keeps telling me about things up there."

Reynaud is academically eligible and has been to both the Georgia and Florida games on unofficial visits. He has no official visits planned at the current time.
