4 Star LB discusses LSU Commitment

E.J. Kuale is a 4 star linebacker that has made a commitment to LSU. We caught up with him, and he discusses his decision.

E.J. Kuale is a sophomore Junior College linebacker out of Dodge City, KS. He drew interest from schools across the country, but he has made his final decision.

"I committed to LSU last Wednesday. I just really felt it was the best situation for me. I like the players there and I think I fit really good into their defensive scheme. I can use my speed and just run and hit folks," Kuale said.

Who else did E.J. consider?

"I had offers from Florida, Kansas State, West Virginia, and Arizona State. I like them, but like I said, LSU was just the best situation."

E.J. originally played for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Did he consider going back?

"I did not look at them at all. I left there for certain reasons, and that is between me and the GT coaches. I haven't looked back."

What is he looking forward to most about getting to Baton Rouge?

"Just getting a chance to play in the SEC is exciting. I grew up in Florida and none of those schools thought I was good enough to play for them when I came out of high school. I want a chance to show them what they missed, and that I can play for anybody."

How early does E.J. think he can contribute?

"I graduate in January so I'm going to get an early start. I got 2 years left, and I think I can play as soon as I get there."

Kuale finished the season with 124 tackles, 13 for loss, and 2 sacks. He is the Bayou Bengal's public commitment in the class of 2004.
