Huff concentrating on recruiting

LSU coaches will look to continue to add depth to their offensive line with the graduation of starters Rodney Reed and Stephen Peterman on the way.

One of the top prospects in Louisiana is Percy Huff of St. Helena Central in Greensburg.

With the high school season over, Huff is starting to focus on recruiting.

"I have a visits planned for Memphis on Jan. 16, and South Carolina on the 23rd," said Huff. "And this weekend I'll be visiting Tulane."

Huff says he's taken several unofficial visits to LSU's campus and knows it well enough to not need an official visit.

"Right now I'm still pretty wide open," says the 6-6 320-pounder. "My favorites are South Carolina, Tulane, LSU, and Mississippi State. I'll probably just commit when I think the time is right."

Huff said the attention from LSU coaches has died down, but he still holds LSU high on his list. He has his core grade requirements, but plans on taking the ACT in February after getting a 16 on a recent test.

"I guess my best aspect as a player is that I'm always trying," says Huff. "I'm always trying to make no mistakes and protect my quarterback."
