Tigers take to Dome after delay

After opening their Sugar Bowl practice schedule yesterday at the New Orleans Saints practice facility, the LSU Tigers practiced for the first time on the new astro-clay surface in the Louisiana Superdome.

However, the story of the day was the Oklahoma Sooners. Scheduled to practice from 11:00-1:00 pm, the Sooners did not exit the practice field until 2:15 p.m., angering many LSU players and not sitting well with LSU head coach Nick Saban.

The problems did not end there for the Tigers. During the opening minutes of practice, several Oklahoma players exiting the weight room in the Superdome were seen walking across the field.

Saban was not made available to the media on Monday, but he can expect questions about the delays at his next press briefing.

Look for interviews from today from Ben Wilkerson, Adrian Mayes, Travis Daniels, Cameron Vaughn, Donnie Jones and Kyle Williams.
