LSU looks good to Galena Park RB

Texas is the school to beat for the commitment of Houston-Galena Park running back Albert Hardy (5-11, 225), but he will take his visits before making a decision. LSU, where Hardy camped over the summer, is likely to be one of his five stops.

Hardy, 5-11 and 215 pounds, rushed for 1,855 yards and 18 touchdowns last season as a junior. So far in seven (4-3) games this season, Hardy has rushed for 1,186 yards on 186 carries and scored 10 TDs.

"I am more of a power guy that loves to run people over," said Hardy. "I have a little juke but I run more like Eddie George. I can block and catch too. Everyone has to recruit me as a running back or don't recruit me at all." Speaking of recruiting, Hardy says he has 41 scholarship offers. "Texas, LSU, Colorado, Florida and Alabama are some of the schools that have offered and they are my top five. Texas is my leader. I like what they do and I have always been a big fan and it is close to home. Colorado is a good team getting better. I camped at LSU and everything looks good down there. Florida has been good forever and I want to play on a team like that that contends for championships. Alabama will be running the football over there and I love Coach Fran."

Hardy bench presses 340 pounds, squats 500 and power cleans 315.
