Odum continues to get offers

The word appears to be out on Mandeville (La.) Fontainebleau's Rudy Odom as he has now picked up three scholarship offers over a two-day period.

Auburn is the latest school to deliver a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-5, 265 pound defensive end but it will surely not be the last.

" I like Auburn a lot," Odom told TheInsiders. "It's a great school and they have a great football program but I need to learn more about their program and their school. I want to talk to some coaches this next week so I can see my role and hear about the program."

Tidbits: Odom is very impressive on film as he showed exceptional quickness and tenacity on the defensive side of the ball. He has the ability to get around the tackle on pass rushes and he also plugs the holes well in stopping the run. Since LSU already has a commitment from Odom's teammate, Steven Korte, the Tiger coaching staff will be seeing a lot of Odom over the next several months. I think LSU will come forward with an offer in due time because this kid is too good for Nick Saban to let get away. Odom may very well be the top defensive end in Louisiana for 2005.
