Savoy might not be sold of Michigan

Mamou (La.) receiver Laterryal Savoy committed to Michigan last Tuesday but the story could have an added twist.

Nick Saban was scheduled to visit Mamou High School on the same day Savoy gave a verbal to the Wolverines but the Tigers' head man did not make due to a scheduling conflict.

Saban did, however, make it to Mamou on Friday to visit with head coach Joel Desselle to try and make a push for Savoy.

"Coach Saban said it doesn't mean a hill of beans to us because we are still recruiting him," Desselle said. "LSU has LT ranked as the No.1 wide receiver prospect for the 2005 class in Louisiana. LSU still did not make an offer but Coach Saban was going to call and talk to LT's parents tonight. If LSU does offer, LT will be under a lot of pressure from the locals to reconsider his commitment."

Stay tuned for more on this saga because you can bet LSU is not out of the picture yet.
