Anderson pledges commitment to LSU

Nick Saban and the LSU Tigers picked up their 9th commitment on Wednesday when The Woodlans, Texas tight end Kyle Anderson gave his verbal pledge.

The following is what The Insiders have to say about Anderson.

Last season as a junior Anderson caught 20 passes for 260 yards and scored 7 TDs. He bench presses 370, squats 415 and has a vertical jump of 30".

Scouting Report: A very-good looking tight end prospect who excels as blocker. His film shows him espectially adept at executing first- and second-level blocks. Also shows off a great pair of hands. Needs to work on his release, route-running and speed if he wants to see action in the passing game on the next level. With his 6-4/6-4.5, 250-pound frame, could also move to an OT position.

Anderson:"I'm physical and have good size and strength. I'm working hard on my speed because I'll be playing more receiver next season. I'm also a good blocker. I want to improve my 40 speed and agility and I'd like to improve my leg strength."

Anderson carries a 3.4 GPA and has a 990 SAT.

Check back later as Sonny Shipp will get the whole story from Anderson.
