Henderson says he will visit LSU

Raymond "Game Time" Henderson of Oak Creek (Wisconsin) is one of the most exciting defensive ends in the country and a big target for the LSU coaching staff in more ways than one.

The 6-5, 255-pounder is rated No. 6 in the land at his position and is in the process of finalizing his five official visits.

He has decided on one visit and seven schools are jockeying for the other four spots.

"By the end of the week I should have a list of the schools I plan on visiting," Henderson told Tiger Rag. "The ones I am interested in right now are Miami, LSU, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska and Oklahoma. I have already made it clear I am visiting LSU for sure."

Out of the schools Henderson is focusing on is there a leader in the group?

"There is no leader and no one really has an edge," he said.

LSU may not have an edge right now but the Tigers do have something in their favor since Henderson was born in New Orleans (La.) and lived in the Crescent City for 10 years. He has an uncle who still lives in New Orleans and a sister who lives in Baton Rouge and attends Southern University.

LSU assistant coach Bobby Williams is taking the lead in recruiting "Game Time" and he gave the speedy defensive end a scholarship offer on his 17th birthday that put the Tigers in the running.

"I like the coaching staff down there and the way they use their defensive ends coming off the edge," Henderson said. "I like the program they have there."
