Wisconsin prospect Henderson enjoyed trip

LSU entertained defensive end Raymond Henderson (6-5, 255, 4.65) last weekend on an official visit and the big man from Oak Creek, Wis. was very impressed with everything about his trip.

It was fabulous," Henderson said. "That whooping they gave Mississippi State was impressive. The gameday atmosphere and everything was real nice."

Henderson has been reluctant to name a leader throughout the whole recruiting process but when asked if anything had changed following his visit on the bayou he replied, "LSU is the only school I have seen so far but I'm going to have to say they are at the top."

The nation's sixth rated defensive end is originally from the bayou state and he said he definitely felt at home with the surroundings not to mention the chance to get a taste of some good food.

"It was wonderful," he said. "I got to see my sister and my uncle. I had so much food down there. When I would go to Wisconsin for junior day they would have bratwursts and stuff like that. At LSU they had chicken, jambalaya and all the good stuff. It was like welcome back Raymond."

Marcus Spears was his player host for the weekend and he made a big impression on Henderson for the way he treated him on his trip.

"Marcus is a real good guy," Henderson said. "He didn't pressure me or anything. He straight up told me he was not going to talk about recruiting and LSU but when the time came I would know where to sign. We had a lot of fun just chilling together."

Next up for Henderson will be an official visit to Tennessee (10/25) and then he will choose his other three visits out of Miami, Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame, Iowa and Penn State.

Tiger fans should get a better feel for Henderson's status following that trip to Knoxville in October.
