Ga. OT Scott reacts to LSU loss at Georgia

One of LSU's top offensive tackle prospects is Chris Scott of Lovejoy (Ga.) and he was in attendance for the Tigers' tough loss last weekend at Georgia.

"It was a good game on Georgia's part," he said. "LSU had a couple of plays that didn't go their way and Georgia capitalized on them."

Scott has always listed LSU amongst his favorites and the big 6-4, 315-pounder has set up an official visit with the Tigers in December to go with the other two he already has in mind.

"I'm going to LSU on Dec. 17, Nebraska on Dec. 10 and I want to take one to Georgia for their game against Georgia Tech," he said.

Coach Leroy Royals is handling Scott's recruitment with a little assistance from Nick Saban. Scott said he hears from Royals once a week and that he gets handwritten letters from everyone on the LSU staff.

What are the Tiger coaches telling the nation's No. 9 rated offensive lineman?

"They tell me I will have a chance to get some early playing time," Scott said. "They say they are not afraid to play freshman if they are ready and they think I would have a good shot. They tell me different things about the school and the environment, and how everything in the city revolves around the school."
