Duncan looking forward to LSU trip

Four-star offensive tackle Paul Duncan of Dallas (Ga.) East Paulding has everything finalized for his official visit to LSU on Nov. 12-13 and he said he is really looking forward to his trip to the bayou.

"I can't wait," Duncan told Tiger Rag. "It's been busy trying to get them all in but I am excited for this one."

LSU defensive backs coach Kirby Smart called the 6-6, 288-pounder on Monday and lately the conversation has shifted from talking about their respective seasons to a more personal touch.

"Now, it's more getting to know each other on a personal level," Duncan said. "I know a lot about the school so now we are just getting to know each other better."

Back on Oct. 12, Duncan claimed Notre Dame was his leader. However, LSU has now made it a much tighter race and Smart gets a lot of credit for the Tigers' late surge.

"They (Notre Dame) are still pretty far up on the list but I would not necessarily say they are my leader right now," Duncan said. "Notre Dame and LSU are tied at the top."

What caused the change of heart?

"I guess I'm getting to know the LSU coaches a lot more," he said.

Duncan has already visited Oklahoma (10/23) and he has the rest of his visits set for UCLA this weekend, and Duke the weekend after his trip to LSU. He will wrap things up with his visit to Notre Dame the first weekend in December.

Should we expect a decision before Christmas?

"That should be about the time," he said.
