DajLeon Farr says its LSU

LSU picked up its biggest commitment for the Class of 2005 on Monday evening when the nation's No. 1 tight end Dajleon Farr called Nick Saban to give him the news.

"I felt like it was the right time to do it so I went ahead and committed," Farr told Tiger Rag. "It is a good opportunity and it is close to home. They have a good program and I wanted to make sure there was a spot for me."

Farr's decision not only made Saban extremely happy but it also caused a stir in the coaches' meeting.

"They put me through to coach Saban and he was pretty excited," Farr said. "I heard coach Royals (tight ends coach) let out a yell and then he got on the phone too."

While Farr still plans on taking official visits to USC and Miami he said he called those coaches along with those at Oklahoma and Nebraska to let them know the news.

When asked if he considered his commitment solid he replied, "Yes sir but I still want to take those last two visits to see what else is out there."
