The 6-10 Rolle, who hails from Freeport in the Bahamas, plays at the same prep school as Tiger signee Chris Johnson and where present LSU player Regis Koundjia helped the school win the national prep school championship in 2003.
Rolle, listed as No. 32 nationally among 2005 prospects by www.Rivalshoops.com and No. 8 in the nation among power forwards, averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds and six blocked shots per game for St. George High School in Freeport. He played this past summer for the AAU Arkansas Wings and had a solid performance at the Nike Basketball Camp in July.
"With the letter received from Magnum (Rolle), it completes maybe the best and certainly the deepest recruiting class we have had," said Coach Brady. "Magnum brings to our team a very long, athletic player who runs the floor extremely well and is a tremendous shot blocker. He is an effective shooter from the 15-to-17 foot range and will bring excitement to our team with the style of play he possesses. With the players we have returning for next year along with this recruiting class, we feel our program continues to move forward in a very positive way."
Rolle joins previous LSU signees Tasmin Mitchell of Denham Springs High School (Denham Springs, La.), Kentrell Gransberry of San Jacinto (Texas) College (Baton Rouge, La.), Ben Voogd of Siuslaw High School (Florence, Ga.) and Chris Johnson (Laurinburg Institute), Montrose, Va.
