Nick Saban now hopes he can rekindle some of those feelings Youngblood had on his visit back in March when the big man comes in for his official visit this weekend.
Tiger Rag caught up with the nation's No. 1 offensive lineman to see if he was excited about his upcoming trip and where LSU stood in the Reggie Youngblood sweepstakes.
"I'm looking forward to getting over there so I can hang with some of the players and have a good time," he said. "I'm going to be there for two days so I'll be able to learn more about the school and the program as a whole. I know LSU has a real good family program and Baton Rouge reminds me a lot of Houston. It's not too far from home."
When asked if he felt like he could see something on his visit that may bring back those feelings he had in the spring when LSU was his leader, he replied, "I believe so but I'm not going to commit anywhere until I take all of my other visits."
Those other visits he is referring to will be to Oklahoma (12/10), Miami (12/17), Texas and possibly Tennessee.
Youngblood said he has three schools at the top heading into his official trips and they all have one big thing in common.
"Texas, Miami and Oklahoma are my three leaders right now because of the playing time they offer," he said.
When asked what it would take for LSU to pull even with his three favorites or even take the lead, he said, "I don't know. I'm just going to go on my visit and then go from there."
