Tampa WR has change of heart, commits to Florida

You might call it a bit of recruiting karma coming back to bite LSU. After the Tigers were able to sway New Orleans defensive end Tory Collins from West Virginia, Florida convinved Tampa wide receiver Reggie Lewis to stay closer to home and become a Gator. He is the first commitment for new head coach Ron Zook.

Jamie Newberg of Borderwars.com has more comments from Lewis in our Buzz section.

Lewis' decommitment from LSU gives the Tigers 16 pledges for the class of 2002. Only two of those commitments are from outside of Louisiana - linebacker Archie McDaniel of Bay City, Texas, and defensive back Chris Vincent of Philadelphia.
