Longview, Texas, linebacker Marvin Byrdsong originally planned to visit LSU last weekend, but he said Tiger coaches asked him to postpone his visit until the upcoming weekend. At first, it looked as through he would rearrange his schedule to make the trip to Baton Rouge, but now Byrdsong is singing a different tune.
I was all set to visit LSU this past weekend, but they pushed me back a week," Byrdsong told HR on Monday night. This weekend's my birhday, so I probably won't be going. I'm going to call the LSU coaches and tell them."
Marvin was asked about favorites.
"I'm down to Mississippi State and Arkansas," he continued. "I know that I'm going to play wherever I decide. I'll probably make my annoucement the day before signing day."
Byrdsong's older brother, Shawn, is a starting defensive back at Mississippi State.
