Berwick coach Scott Tregle told Tiger Rag that Henderson has not posted a qualifying mark in his past two attempts at the ACT, and he cannot mathematically earn a qualifying core grade point average in his final semester. Since this eliminates the chance of Henderson being signed as a partial qualifier, he is likely headed for a junior college.
Henderson is considering Blinn Junior College outside of Houston, according to Tregle, and is visiting the campus with Patterson athlete Terrell Gray. To the coach's knowledge, LSU coaches are not working with Henderson to "place" him in the two-year school.
"It's good that he has the option of a junior college because of the situation he's in," said Tregle.
Berwick featured Henderson on both sides of the ball during his high school career. He provided the Panthers with a punishing runner on offense and established a reputation as a speedy hard-hitter on defense.
