Lady Tigers remain No. 1 in both polls

LSU's Lady Tigers basketball team remained No. 1 in both the Associated Press and the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA poll that were released earlier this week.

LSU (23-1, 10-0 SEC) defeated then-No. 5 Tennessee last Thursday and won at South Carolina on Sunday to remain unbeaten in the Southeastern Conference.

The Lady Tigers were unanimous in the AP poll, receiving all 45 first-place votes and 1,125 points. LSU received 39 of the 40 first-place votes in the coaches poll and 998 points.

LSU, ranked No. 1 for the third straight week and the ninth week this season, will host Kentucky on Thursday before traveling to Auburn on Sunday.
