Tiger Rag went to the straight source to see if Allen was having second thoughts on his verbal commitment and LSU fans will like his response.
"No," said the 6-3, 280-pounder. "Not at all. Nope. No truth to that whatsoever."
Allen said he had no idea where that could have come from but it could have something to do with his latest scholarship offer.
"Oklahoma was the last school to offer me not too long ago," he said.
What does he think about getting offered by the premiere program in the Big 12?
"It was nice to get it but I told them I'm committed to LSU," said Allen. "They said they would still like for me to give them a look and visit their campus over the summer."
Allen is planning on taking an unofficial visit to Norman over the summer and he also has a couple of other campus stops on his agenda.
Should the LSU coaches be worried?
"I'm just planning on going to see Oklahoma, Auburn and maybe Kansas but I'm not sure about the last one," said Allen who has offers from those three schools in addition to Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Houston. "I just wanted to take a look at their facilities and to see their campuses."
LSU head coach Les Miles has a strict policy about his committed prospects taking official visits but his stand on unofficial visits appears to be a little softer.
"He never mentioned anything about taking unofficial visits," Allen said. "I don't think he minds that."
When asked if something extraordinary would have to happen for him to end up signing with any school other than LSU, the big Texan replied, "I do. I like LSU a lot. I always have and that is where I plan on going."
Allen is unsure at the time but he does plan on attending an LSU camp this summer and he said he already has the grades and test score to qualify academically.
Is he having second thoughts?
