Leesville TE commits to LSU

LSU now has two early commitments for the class of 2003 with the addition of Leesville tight end Keith Alleger.

Alleger (6-5 235) made his decision to play for LSU just three months removed from the completion of his junior season with the Wampus Cats. He earned Class 4A All-State recognition after making 14 catches for 300 yards and providing Leesville. He is noted as an exceptional run blocker in Lessville's run-oriented offense but can also create mismatches on pass routes with his 4.85 speed in the 40-yard dash.

Leesville has also employed Alleger as a defensive ene. With a 3.85 grade point average, he is fully qualified.

Alleger, the first LSU pledge from Leesville since running back Cecil Collins in 1996, joins Breaux Bridge defensive back Jesse Daniels as early members of LSU's recruiting class for 2003.
