The tournament, presented by Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, benefits the Shaquille O'Neal CHAMPS/Life Skills Program, which helps LSU student-athletes prepare for life after college through a variety of events, educational workshops, career seminars and community service projects.
There will be two rounds, at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., with both rounds of play concluding with a jambalaya meal and awards ceremony. The event is set for the eve of LSU's football season opener in Baton Rouge against North Texas on Sept. 3.
A foursome for the event, which includes the golf, meal and photo opportunities with O'Neal, is $550 with opportunities also available for hole and awards sponsorships.
