Tigers go through light workout Wednesday

LSU went back to practice on Wednesday as the third-ranked Tigers held a light workout here at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.

Wednesday's workout had the Tigers focusing on making corrections from the Arizona State game, working on the two-minute offense as well as some individual work. LSU started the day by watching the Arizona State game as a team.

"We went through the film and made corrections and then we made corrections on the field," Miles said. "Certainly I think we understand what we need to do to get better.

"It was our first game, and the inopportune time to make mistakes against a good opponent just happened to be our first game. I don't want to discount as the only reason, because it's not, but it certainly contributed to it."

Miles said the Tigers will practice again on Thursday and Friday afternoon and then hold a morning workout on Saturday. The Tigers will take Sunday before returning to practice on Monday.

LSU returns to action on Sept. 24 as the Tigers host fourth-ranked Tennessee in Tiger Stadium in what could be the first matchup between top-five ranked teams in Baton Rouge since 1959. That year, then-No.1 ranked LSU beat third-ranked Ole Miss, 7-3.
