Nation's No. 3 QB Tebow visits LSU

There has been a lot of talk centered around the blue-chip recruits who are making official visits to LSU this weekend but it's the one who is coming in unofficially that has Tiger fans scratching their heads.

Tim Tebow, who is's No. 3 rated quarterback in the land, will be in Baton Rouge when Florida comes to town.

Many believe that the Tigers have no shot at landing Tebow but he tells Tiger Rag a different story.

"There is seven schools I have narrowed it down to and LSU is one of them," he said. "We like LSU and we really like coach (Jimbo) Fisher and coach (Les) Miles. We want to get over there to take a look at everything and see what the atmosphere is like."

Last year, the Tigers signed the No. 1 quarterback in the country in Ryan Perrilloux and they already have a commitment from the No. 4 rated signal caller in the land for this class in Alex Cate.

Many would assume that having those young guns would deter a quarterback of Tebow's stature but he has a different perspective.

"Everywhere you go they are going to have good quarterbacks you will have to compete with," Tebow said. "The first thing I have to look at is my relationship with the coaches and I really like coach Fisher a lot. I like the way he runs his offense and I want to just go over there and take a closer look."

Check back on Sunday as Tiger Rag will have more on Tebow's trip to Baton Rouge.
