Bradie James hospitalized, out for rest of spring

LSU senior linebacker Bradie James, the top returning tackler on the Tigers' defense, will miss the rest of spring practice after suffering a contused kidney in Saturday's scrimmage.

James spent Saturday night at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge after incurring the injury during routine tackling in the scrimmage. Doctors held him for observation Sunday night and are expected to release him on Monday.

James is expected to make a full recovery from his injury and be available for summer conditioning work in June, but he will miss the rest of LSU's spring practice. The Tigers conclude their April workouts with the Spring Game this Saturday.
