The Tigers also moved up two places in the national poll to No. 3, their best ranking of the season and tying their best national ranking in school history. LSU finished the season tied for third last year after advancing to the Women's College World.
Last week, LSU went 7-0 with doubleheader sweeps over Northwestern State and Southern Miss and a Southeastern Conference three-game series sweep at Kentucky.
Sneed, a senior from Houston, Texas, posted a 4-0 record with a 0.97 ERA last week. In addition to her no-hitter against Southern Miss, she also threw a complete-game shutout against Kentucky, her 15th of the season.
She reached double-figures in strikeouts in each of her four games, including a 16-strikeout performance in a nine-inning win over Northwestern State, and a pair of 15-strikeout games against Kentucky.
During one stretch, Sneed recorded at least one strikeout in 24 consecutive innings. She surpassed the 300-strikeout mark for the second straight year and moved into eighth place on the Division I all-time strikeout list.
Currently second in the nation in strikeout ratio, she averaged 13.8 strikeouts per seven innings last week to up her season average to 11.
The Tigers travel to face Southern Miss in a doubleheader Wednesday night beginning at 5 p.m. LSU will close out the month of April on the road at SEC-rival Ole Miss this weekend. The Tigers will face the Rebels in a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. and play a single game on Sunday at 1 p.m.
