The Senior Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28 in Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile. The game will be televised by ESPN.
LSU's entries in the all star game include return specialist and wide receiver Skyler Green, running back Joseph Addai, and defensive tackles Kyle Williams and Claude Wroten.
LSU's defensive tackle tandem of Williams and Wroten combined for 17 tackles for losses and 9.5 sacks in 2005. The duo keyed an LSU defense that ranked among the top eight in the nation in four categories, including a No. 5 rating in total defense (276.8 yards per game) and a No. ranking in scoring defense (15.2 points per game).
Williams earned first-team All-America honors by Rivals.com in 2005 and he was a second-team All-America pick by the Associated Press and the Walter Camp Foundation. Wroten was a first-team All-America this year by collegefootballnews.com.
Green, a first-team All-America return specialist by Rivals.com and a third-team pick by the Associated Press, holds the school record with four punts returned for touchdowns and he's second in LSU history in punt return yardage with 1,018.
Addai ranks sixth in LSU history with 2,446 rushing yards after totaling 781 yards and eight touchdowns during the 2005 season.
Last year, three Tigers played in the game as cornerbacks Travis Daniels and Corey Webster were joined in the contest by defensive end Marcus Spears. All three of those players went on to be drafted in the first four rounds of the NFL Draft last April.
Since 2002, LSU has had 11 players selected to play in the Senior Bowl and 10 of those players are currently on NFL rosters with seven holding down starting positions in the professional ranks.
