Lady Tigers remain No. 3 in both polls

For the ninth straight week, the LSU women's basketball team remained No. 3 in both the Associated Press and the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA polls.

The Lady Tigers (13-0, 2-0 SEC) also lead the nation in scoring defense and are among the top in eight other statistical categories, including second in field goal percentage and personal fouls per game.

LSU is holding their opponents to just 46.6 points per game to lead in that category, while ranking second in field goal percentage with a 50.4 percent shooting clip. The Lady Tigers are also second personal fouls per game (11.7), third in scoring margin (+31.2), seventh in field goal percentage defense (33.9), ninth in steals (12.9 per game), 11th in fewest turnovers per game (12.9) and 12th in both scoring offense (77.8) and rebound margin (+10.5).

In the polls, LSU received two first-place votes in 1,066 points in the AP poll and 713 points in the coaches' poll to remained behind top-ranked Tennessee and No. 2 Duke.

LSU hosts South Carolina in Thursday before traveling to No. 7 Connecticut on Monday.
