Mitchell talks about official visit to LSU

Chris Mitchell of Marrero (La.) John Ehret spent the weekend in Baton Rouge for his official visit and Tiger Rag caught up with the blue-chip wide out to see how the trip went.

"It was nice," Mitchell said. "I enjoyed being with the players and I liked the environment. I got to spend a lot of time with all of the coaches and they were real fun to be around."

Mitchell had taken official trips to Nebraska, Colorado and Tennessee, and he has his last visit set up to Miami this weekend.

When asked which visit he liked the most out of the four he has taken, he replied, "LSU and Nebraska but LSU was better."

Les Miles picked up a commitment from one receiver over the weekend when Ricky Dixon gave his verbal pledge.

Did the Tigers' headman try to get Mitchell to pull the trigger?

"He did but I told him I was going to wait until signing day to make my decision," Mitchell said. "He said that was fine and that he would wait for me."

The last few times Tiger Rag spoke with Mitchell he told us that LSU was his clear-cut leader.

After his official visit is that still the case?

"They are I'm just going to wait to announce my decision," he said.
