Georgia (13-5, 3-2 SEC) led 60-55 with 4:37 left in the game before Erica White hit a jumper and two free throws to cut the lead down to one with 2:57 to go. Augustus then connected on both shots from the line to but the Lady Tigers up one with just over one minute to play.

Georgia's Alexis Kendrick knocked down two free throws on the other end to put the Lady Bulldogs back up by one before the teams traded baskets one more time, before the Augustus hit the 15-foot baseline jumper in front of the LSU bench for the victory.

Scholanda Hoston had 10 points, including a driving lay-up with 48 seconds left. White, in the second start of her career, had six points and a career-high 10 assists.

"With under two minutes to play we called a timeout and changed the offense to spread the floor a little and give them a different look," LSU head coach Pokey Chatman said.

LSU led by as many as 11 points in the first half before Georgia finished the half on a 16-6 run to cut the LSU lead to 31-30 at the break.

"I felt like we were in good shape in the first half because we had so many good looks at the basket," Chatman added.

The Lady Tigers then used a 10-0 run early in the second half to retake a nine-point lead, 44-35 with 12:01 left in the game before Georgia used a 12-2 run to take the lead.
