Udell gives LSU a big thumbs up

Les Miles is in search of one more cornerback in this class and one of the guys left on the board is Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby product Marcus Udell.

Udell (5-11, 185, 4.5) was in Tiger Town this weekend for his official visit and he gave the trip a big thumbs up.

"It was a lot of fun," Udell told Tiger Rag. "Everybody liked football over there. Everywhere we went all they were talking about was football. It's a great atmosphere over there."

Udell is now down to three schools and he plans on making a decision in the by the end of the week.

"All I've got left is LSU, Alabama and Maryland," he said. "I'll have my decision made sometime this week."

Udell said he has seen everything he needed to see about each school but before he makes up his mind he wants to hear one more sales pitch.

"I'm talking to all of the coaches one more time and then I want to give it a little more thought before I decide," he said. "Maryland came by today and then coach (Doug) Mallory (LSU defensive backs coach) is coming by tomorrow. Alabama will come on Wednesday and then that is it."

Does the three-star corner already have an idea of where he is going?

"Not really," he said. "That is why these next couple of days is so important."
