Loadholt committs to LSU

LSU fans have been screaming for offensive linemen and their wish came true when junior college offensive tackle Phil Loadholt committed to the Tigers over the weekend.

"I've kind of known LSU was where I wanted to go but I needed to take my visit to make sure," said the big 6-9, 325-pounder from Garden City Community College. "After seeing everything first hand now I know. I'm going to LSU."

Loadholt said one of the things that stood out with LSU was the big need for offensive linemen. After meeting all of the coaches and hanging out with the players, though, now there is a lot more that stands out.

"They are like a close family," said Loadholt. "Everybody got along so great and you could tell that the players like the coaches a lot. They were all clowning around with each other. Even the coaches were clowning around a lot."
