Radakovich to be named Ga. Tech AD

After several near misses, LSU senior associate athletic drirector Dan Radakovich has finally made the big move.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Radakovich will be named the Yellow Jackets athletic director in a 3 p.m. press conference this afternoon.

Radakovich will replace outgoing AD Dave Braine, who is leaving for health reasons. He was chosen over ESPN football analyst and former Georgia Tech head coach Bill Curry. Curry coached the Jackets from 1980-86.

"I would hate to see him leave here because the plan here is for him to take over after next year or at the most two years when (LSU athletic director) Skip (Bertman) retires," LSU men's basketball coach John Brady told the AJC earlier this week.

More details will be passed along as they become available.
