Krause goes through recruiting ringer

One of Louisiana's top tight end prospects is Adam Krause of Brother Martin. Tiger Rag visited with him recently about his experiences with the recruiting process.

"It's been alright," Krause told Tiger Rag. "It's a lot of pressure, and it can be hectic, but it's fun.  It's real fun."

Krause has received scholarship offers from approximately ten schools, and lists his top five (in no particular order) as LSU, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, and Michigan. He has received a written scholarship offer from LSU, and Nick Saban visited with him on May 21. He has attended camp at LSU and will attend Michigan's camp the week of June 17-21.

Many recruiters project the Krause may find a home at a different position at the college level, possibly offensive line. LSU guard Stephen Peterman made a similar move to guard, and former Tiger defensive end Kyle Kipps (who recently signed a free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) also started as a tight end.  Krause is open to any such move.

"It's fine with me," said Krause. "I'd like to start at tight end and see what I can do, but I'll move to O-line if I have to."
