Aubrey jumps at offer from LSU

LSU's recruiting train picked up a head of steam on Friday as news broke about the Tigers picking up two commitments.

Kantravis Aubrey, a 6-3, 285 pound defensive tackle prospect out of Bastrop (La.), picked up an offer from Les Miles on Friday and he jumped at the opportunity to play for the Tigers.

"I committed on the spot," Aubrey told Tiger Rag. "That was always where I wanted to play and I couldn't ask for anything better."

Aubrey plays on the end at Bastrop but is projected to play inside at tackle at the next level. He has excellent strength with a 380-pound bench and is very tough to block one-on-one when he gets the inside edge.

As junior, Aubrey was a first team all-state selection after recording 81 tackles, 10 sacks and 13 tackles for a loss. He attended LSU's Junior Day and came away from the experience more pumped up than ever about LSU.

"It was great being down there," said Aubrey. "I can't wait to move down there and to get to play in Tiger Stadium. Now, I have something else to play for next year. I want to show the coaches what kind of player they are getting."
