The skinny:

The Blue Devils looked like one of the best teams of all time throughout most of the 2005-06 season. However, as time wore on, teams found the solution to the Duke mystery as Georgetown, North Carolina and even lowly Florida State found ways to win. Duke lives and dies by the shot of J.J. Redick and inside presence of Shelden Williams as they are the only two players scoring anywhere near double figures. The Devils aren't deep playing only seven players so foul trouble, especially with Williams and Josh McRoberts, could cripple the nation's top-seeded team. Duke isn't a great rebounding team but shot 283 more free throws than its opponents. Then there's Redick. The NCAA's all-time leader in made three-pointers and the ACC's all-time leading scorer, Redick can hit shots from virtually anywhere on the floor. The Devils have plenty of chinks in the armor, but seldom let teams find them.
