Breaking News!!! TE commits to LSU

LSU picked up its seventh commitment shortly after the Tigers wrapped up spring drills when Catholic-New Iberia tight end Mitch Joseph (6-5, 245, 4.8) picked the Tigers.

As a junior, Joseph was a first team all-state, all-district and all-Acadiana selection after hauling in 16 passes for 414 yards and two touchdowns.

What made him choose the Tigers?

"I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now and today I told coach (Les) Miles I wanted to commit," Joseph told Tiger Rag.

Ole Miss also offered Joseph a scholarship but he knew all along where he would eventually end up.

"Over the years I always kind of knew I was going to go there," he said. "I like how they use the tight end and then today they used them a lot. They went to (Keith) Zinger and the other ones several times including one for about 40 yards"

LSU coaches likes the big tight ends who can catch the ball and block equally well and that is what they got in their newest Tiger.
